Applications of CRO
A CRO has
large number of applications in measuring electrical and electronic quantities.
Some of the important applications are as follows:
1. Laboratory applications:
(A) Examination of waveform
(B) Voltage measurement
(C) Current measurement
(D) Measurement of time period
(E) Measurement of frequency
(F) Measurement of phase
(G) Depth of modulation measurement
(H) Pulse measurement.
2. Radio applications
(A) Gives visual display of wave shapes
(B) Traces transistor, Diode, FET
characteristics curves.
(C) Used for tracing and measuring
signals throughout the RF, IF and AF channels of radio and T.V receivers.
(D) It gives a visual representation of
the compositive video signal.
(E) It is used for adjusting FM
receivers, broadband high frequency RF amplifiers and AFC circuits.
(F) It displays the response of tuned
circuits and other circuits.
3. Scientific and Engineering
applications:
(A) Determination of modulating index
(B) For finding B/H curves for hysteresis
loop
(C) To display radiation patterns of
antenna
(D) For engine pressure analysis
(E) For adjusting stress, strain,
acceleration, torque etc.
(F) To study standing waves in
transmission lines
(G) To determine amplifier gain
(H) To study complex waveforms using
fourier analysis.
you are clear my mind actually after reading your article i got clear my complete doubt. thanks for such easy understanding post. Sharing on advantages of fet for future aspect at here http://electrotopic.com/what-are-the-advantages-of-fet-over-transistor/
